Author Steven W. Horn sends his sincerest thanks to all the readers, book clubs and bookstores that have enjoyed the Sam Dawson Mystery Series. Unfortunately, he missed the Readers’ Favorite ceremony in Florida to accept the Honorable Mention Award in the Fiction – Mystery – General category for “Yesterday Calling.” Sometimes authors share traits with their characters – in this author’s case, it’s a preference for fishing almost above all else. So, much like Sam Dawson would’ve done, the author avoided ceremony crowds and escaped to the serenity of fishing with his trusty canine companion.
That being said, he urges folks to shop local for Small Business Saturday and support your local bookstores!
